SNA MARIANAPOLIS UNITS

Teachers at SNA Marianapolis construct units using the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework to ensure skill development and transfer. Our curricular units are designed to engage students in powerful hands on, inquiry-based learning experiences. Using the latest educational research, we dive deep into the curriculum helping students transfer their learning from one experience to another.

GRADES 1-2 ACADEMICS

ENGLISH
Course Description	English Language Arts equips students with foundational language, literacy, and writing skills to become successful in school, community, and life. With opportunities to express their own ideas, and think deeply students develop a lifelong love of reading and learning

SOCIAL STUDIES
Course Description	Our Social Studies units allow students to continue to explore the world with a focus on community, government, economics, culture, and government. Our program presents an American perspective to many of these themes’ however, teachers will create opportunities for students to apply this knowledge to Vietnam and the world.
